Best NBA Prop Bets by Matchup Advantage, December 17

Throughout the NBA season, one of my favortie parts of coming into work at the Bookit HQ is breaking down individual NBA player matchups in every game and exploiting great (or tough) matchups to bet on. It quite literally takes up most of my time at work everyday. Ask around the people at the office; I walk in, grab the nearest notebook and stuff my face into props.cash for hours to find the best angles to bet on for the day's slate.

How to Read the NBA Notebook (Important)

The way I decide on what props to take are pretty simple. Every prop I write down … the defensive player facing that player prop allows the prop to cash 65% or more of the time the last 10 games. The ranks next to the % are how the defense ranks in the league against that prop the last 5 games. Basically, I try to target players that are DUE for a great game for that prop against a defensive matchup that the opposing player struggles against.

NBA defenses ebb and flow defensively in multiple positions all year. A position player that may get worked early on in the season may suddenly find their groove and become better defensively ... a trade could be made ... a rookie could start finding more minutes after he plays better than the original starter ... an injury could happen. That is why I like targeting L5 and L10 metrics for opposing defenses.

Sometimes, there may be times where there are good angles for multiple players on an offense for the same prop. Whenever that becomes the case, I tend to settle on the player that is 1. more due for a good performance 2. the better overall player.

For example, Donovan Mitchell has a great matchup to potentially cash his Pts line, but so does De'Andre Hunter. In this case, unless De'Andre Hunter's lines are unbelievably high and his PrizePicks square makes it look like he is bound for a good game, I'm taking Donovan Mitchell.

Take this into account when making your decisions on what to take, but ultimately the choice is up to you. If you are wondering what props I end up deciding on, I post NBA PrizePicks slips everyday on my X and the Bookit Snapchat account (link on bottom of page).
